Manassas, VA – Police have arrested two additional men in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred during a First Friday event in Manassas on May 3. The incident resulted in the death of a teenage girl.
According to the Prince William County Police Department, Zion Charles Johnson, 20, was arrested on May 17 in Stafford and charged with felony murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. A 17-year-old male was also arrested and charged with felony murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. The juvenile's name was not released by authorities due to his age.
These arrests follow the initial apprehension of Kevin Nathaniel Wilson, 21, who was charged earlier this month with felony murder, aggravated malicious wounding, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Wilson was taken into custody without incident in Maryland.
The shooting took place in the area of Battle Street and Main Street shortly after 9:30 p.m. on May 3. Police reported that shots were fired during an altercation, striking the teen victim. She was transported to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries. An additional male victim also sustained a gunshot wound and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
