A Stafford man who is employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation at Quantico has been accused in federal court of distributing child sexual abuse material, according to an affidavit filed in the case.
A federal grand jury returned an indictment against the employee, who works as a management and program analyst for the FBI. The indictment follows an investigation that began with a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding an IP address in Stafford County allegedly being used to distribute illicit materials.
According to the original report from Patch, law enforcement officials executed a search warrant at the employee's residence in connection with the investigation. The case is being handled in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. The indictment formally charges the individual with distribution of child sexual abuse material.
