Man Arrested in Woodbridge for Alleged Sexual Battery of Food Lion Employee

A 41-year-old man was arrested and faces charges of sexual battery and assault following an incident at a Food Lion store in Woodbridge. The incident, which occurred on Monday, May 6, involved the alleged inappropriate touching of an employee.

According to the Prince William County Police Department, officers responded to the Food Lion located at 12437 Dillingham Square in Woodbridge at approximately 10:45 AM after receiving a report of a sexual assault. The investigation revealed that a store employee was working when an unknown man, later identified as the suspect, approached them and allegedly touched them inappropriately.

The employee immediately reported the incident to store management, who then contacted law enforcement. Police subsequently identified the individual as Daniel George Evans, 41, of Woodbridge. Evans was arrested without incident.

Evans has been charged with one count of sexual battery and one count of assault. His court date is pending, and he is being held on a $1,500 secured bond, according to police records. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
